Why is Maya Angelou famous?
Maya Angelou can be described as a civil rights activist, an actress and performer, and an author. However, Maya represents African American women experiencing the 1930s, WW2, and the Great Depression. Maya shows her resiliency through her life and expresses it through her performances and literature. People like Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X worked with Angelou because of her strong mind and capabilities. Maya Angelou is famous for experiencing adversity but still helping people and help others.
